By virtue of the HS^8 engraving, this is believed to be a Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm watch from WW2. It came to me from a family member who was in WW2 but not in that service; he may have got it from another family member as he had several brothers who were fallen heroes. If wound a little, it runs for a while; proper service and restoration should be possible. The face has some scratches and, as seen in the pictures, the second hand appears to be bent.
