This is a great example of a mid-50s Gruen autowind with their 23 jewel 629SS movement. This watch with this combination (no "Precision" on the dial, 23 jewel movement) is particularly hard to find. Lovely number and stick indices as well as a very nice white dial. The watch is running well, keeps time for at least 24 hours, and winds with no binds both by the crown and by the movement. Brand new leather band installed that compliments the watch. Appears to be gold plated; no plating is exposed ...
