The back stays on but is loose and will fall off if worn. I believe the gasket that seals it to the case has aged or its a manufactured defect. New battery and its ticking away keep accurate time. Some minor wear when you get your nose close to it but overall in very good condition. Crystal is scratch free. Case has no heavy scratches. Leather original band looks lightly worn.
