Vintage 1940's Gruen Pan-American Pilots version non-civilian watch. Gruen Veri-Thin Precision 17 jewels. It features the correct cabliber 420SS Swiss made mechanical wind movement with center sweep second hand. 24 hour military dial. Gruen first made these watches for pilots who flew for Pan American Airlines during WW2 & later made them available to the public in 1945. Steel case shows some wear but watch sets, winds, & runs well. Very good condition for a 1940's watch....
