Offered for sale is a vintage ladies' Movado-Zenith Museum Watch, Swiss made, circa 1960s. The Museum Watch is based on a mid-20th century watch design by Nathan George Horwitt, an original example of which is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. As the story goes, Movado copied Horwitt's design, and started selling the Museum watches in the 1950s. Horwitt fought with Movado for decades over royalties for his design, and they finally reached a settlement in 1990. ...
