I brought this to a reputable jeweler who stated that the lettering on the watch face was painted over, meaning he feels that at one point the watch face may have been damaged and a watch repair person repaired the damaged lettering. He was wondering if the “Tiffany & Co” lettering was also added. Not sure. The serial # (15088965) indicates that this was manufactured in 1956.
