Vintage 1980 Suwa dial Seiko 6309 7040, according to serial number(0628....), watch has a production date of 6/1980 being that the movement and watch were cased in Japan therefore the Suwa dial marking. Marking is at the six o'clock position, above the baton. After 1980 Seiko still made the movement and watch cases in Japan but moved the casing and finishing of the 6309 7040 to Hong Kong. 6309s' cased in HK, dials do not have the Suwa mark.
