The Shturmanskie watch brand was registered in 1949. At first, they only produced watches for Russian Air Force and Navy and did not come for sale. In April 12-th 1961 first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin was wearing Shturmanskie in space and the watch ran perfectly!! Shturmanskie watches came for sale only in 1983. Many cosmonauts from different countries such as France, Germany, Japan, Poland used to wear Shturmanskie in International Space Program.Making and assembling watches are still doing by hand...
