A beautiful piece of retro chronology with this rolled gold and steel Smith's Astral National 17 wristwatch. Handmade in England by Smiths & Sons in the early 1960s. These watches were produced in 15 jewel and 17 jewel (centre seconds) and were a patriotic contribution to the 1960's "I'm backing British" campaign. It has a lovely montal vintage stretch strap with 1/10th 12k Rolled Gold fronts. The watch itself is in excellent condition for its age. It is in very good working order ...
