This beautiful vintage Pobeda watch was made in the now defunct Zim, Masleenikov plant. Pobeda is the name of a famous soviet watch. Pobeda means victory in Russian. These watches were traditionally given as gifts from the government to the best laborers and veterans. They were made by soviet watchmakers during World War ll in 1945. Stalin ordered that the first watches be ready for the first anniversary of Victory celebration. He chose the name and oversaw the manufacturing of the Pobeda watch....
